The Guest List / Podcast lead generation for B2B founders

Your best prospects won't take a sales call. They'll take an interview.

We invite your ideal clients onto your show as guests and qualify them before you hit record. You show up and talk shop. We run the rest.

Why they say yes

Your buyers get hundreds of pitches a week. They answer almost none.

An invitation is a different kind of email. It asks for their opinion, not their budget. It offers them something: a platform, a recording, clips for their own channels. That's why the same inbox that ignores five pitches opens the sixth.

Illustrative. The pitches are composites of what lands in every buyer's inbox. The invitation is the format we send. Names are fictional.

Hi Trevor,

Sure, I can do 30 minutes. I don't usually say yes to these, but a conversation about what's working beats another demo request.

Thursday afternoon is open. Send over the prep questions and a link and I'll get it on the calendar. What do you want to cover?

Example replies, written to show the pattern. On the call we'll sketch the invitation your buyers would answer.

How it works

The invitation earns the yes. The pre-interview earns the booking.

Everyone else asks your buyers for a meeting. We offer them a seat on your show. Three stages, all run for you.

01

We build your sending fleet.

Separate domains and warmed inboxes, set up and monitored by us. Your own domain never sends a cold email. Sending ramps up over about two weeks, then runs every weekday at a steady pace. Never a blast.

  • Domains, DNS, SPF, DKIM and DMARC handled
  • Daily limits per inbox and live deliverability monitoring
  • A list of your ideal clients, built from your ICP and large enough to invite at a steady pace for months

Example fleet. Domain names are chosen with you.

02

Your buyers get an invitation, not a pitch.

A short, personal note from you as the host. Thirty minutes, remote, about their work. They keep the recording and the clips. Replies are answered quickly, in your voice, with the right link. Anything unclear comes to you.

  • Written around a theme your buyers want to talk about
  • Every reply handled and every booking confirmed
  • Follow-ups and reschedules run for you
To: Ben Okafor, Founder, Relay RoboticsSubject: A seat on our founder series

Hi Ben,

I host a short interview series where we talk with founders building in robotics and edge AI about what's actually working for them this year. I've been following what Relay is doing with on-device inference and would love to have you on.

It's 30 minutes, remote, and you keep the full recording and the clips. Would a conversation like that be worth your time?

Trevor

ReplySure, that sounds worth 30 minutes. Send me a few times.

Example invitation. Names are fictional.

03

The interview qualifies them.

Before anyone lands on your calendar, we run a short pre-interview. The questions sound like episode prep. Every answer tells you something about need, budget, timeline and authority. The buyers who fit get booked. The ones who don't still get a good conversation.

  • Pre-interview script built with you
  • Guest brief in your inbox before every recording
  • Nothing pitched on the show, ever
NeedWhat's eating the most time on your team right now?

Sounds like episode prep. Tells you where it hurts.

Pre-interview
BudgetWhat have you tried so far, and what did it cost you?

Reveals what they've spent and what they'd spend again.

Pre-interview
TimelineIf this looks the same a year from now, what does that cost you?

Separates a project from a passing interest.

Pre-interview
AuthorityWho else gets a say when you change something like that?

Maps the buying group before the call.

Don't have a show?

We produce the Marquee Network. Your interview series can live there.

Most podcast lead gen vendors hand you a StreamYard link and wish you luck. We run a podcast network. If you already host a show, we plug into it. If you don't, we launch an interview series for you as part of setup, so the first invitation goes out from a show that already exists.

If you have a show

We plug into it.

Your feed, your brand, your format. We add the sending fleet, the list, the invitations and the pre-interviews. Your producer gets a guest brief before every recording.

If you don't

We launch one on the Marquee Network.

Show concept, name, cover art, trailer, feed and a show page on the network, built during the 1 to 2 week setup. Episodes are edited and published for you, with clips your guests will want to share.

Three plans. One difference: how many buyers you want on your calendar.

Pick the volume that fits your list and your calendar. Every plan covers sourcing, invitations, reply handling, pre-interviews, booking and follow-up. Priced per three months, paid once. Not a retainer.

Plus $150 a month for sending software, billed at cost. Guest ranges are planning estimates at our one-in-20-to-25 assumption, not guarantees; month one is setup and warm-up, so the first quarter runs below full volume. If a customer is worth less than about $10,000 to you over their lifetime, this isn't a fit, and we'll say so on the call. Run the numbers first.

What's a month of guests worth to you?

Your scenario: year-one revenue at these inputs
$0
35guests a month, plan midpoint
0new clients in year one
$0year-one cost, plan renewed quarterly plus software
$0back for every $1

Estimates, not guarantees. Month 1 is setup, month 2 runs at half volume. Guests use the midpoint of each plan's range. Retainers assume clients stay through year one. Your close rate from a qualified, recorded conversation is the number that matters most, and it's the one nobody can know until you run it.

Our terms

Plain terms, no surprises.

Three months at a time.

Priced per quarter, paid once, with no auto-renewal. At the end of each quarter you renew, change plans or stop. The recordings are yours either way.

Your main domain never sends.

Every invitation goes out from a separate fleet we build and watch. If placement ever slips, we fix it on our time, not yours.

Before you book.

Still have questions? Ask us on a call, or email trevor@tlrconsultinggroup.com.

Won't cold email put my domain at risk?

No. We never send from your main domain. Every invitation goes out from separate sending domains with SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up, warmed inboxes, strict daily limits and live monitoring. We hold the fleet to 97%+ inbox placement.

Do I need to be a podcaster?

No. This is an interview series built to meet your buyers, not a media business. If you don't have a show, we launch one for you on the Marquee Network as part of setup. If you do, we plug into it.

Isn't it a bit fake to invite people you want to sell to?

Only if the guest gets nothing. Your guests get a platform, a thoughtful conversation about their work, the full recording and clips they can share. Nobody is pitched on the show. The business conversation happens later, when they ask for it, which is why the pre-interview matters.

How soon do guests start landing on my calendar?

Setup and warm-up take about two weeks. We plan on first replies within days of the first send and guests on your calendar in the first weeks of sending, then a few weeks to dial in the angle and the list.

What if nobody says yes?

Every plan includes course-correction in the first two weeks of sending: new angles, new segments or a sharper invitation. Headliner and Full Run add ongoing optimization for the whole engagement.

What do you need from me?

Approve the ideal-client list and the invitation angle, show up for the 30-minute recordings we book, and join a short strategy call each month (two to four, depending on plan). Everything else, from domains to follow-up, is on us.

Who writes the questions and edits the episodes?

We do. You get a guest brief with suggested questions before every recording. If your show lives on the Marquee Network, we edit and publish each episode and cut the clips your guest will want to share. If you already have a producer, we hand them the brief and the files.

What is the $150 a month for?

The sending and inbox-rotation software that runs your fleet, billed at cost. It covers the mailboxes and the inbox rotation for your fleet.

What happens after three months?

You decide. Renew for another quarter at the same plan, move up or down a plan, or stop. The episodes you recorded are yours. There is no auto-renewal.

Who is this built for?

B2B founders and owner-led firms whose customers are worth $10,000 or more over their lifetime: pre-seed to Series A startups, agencies and consultancies, fractional executives and professional service firms selling to executives. We take on a small number of clients at a time so every fleet gets watched.

Your buyers are already on the list. Let's invite them.

Put your buyers on the guest list.

One call tells you whether your buyers would say yes to your show, and whether we're the team to run it. Bring a clear picture of your ideal client and how many of them are out there.

  1. We look at your offer, your deal size, your ideal client and how big that pool is.
  2. We sketch the invitation angle your buyers would actually reply to.
  3. If it fits, we pick a plan and start building your fleet that week.
